Dhinesh, the Founder of Fabheads and an alumnus of IIT Madras (2007-11 Batch), is thrilled to contribute to his alma mater’s growth while also fostering the development of future innovators and engineers.

“As a former student of IIT-M, it brings me immense happiness to contribute to the college that played a pivotal role in shaping my journey. Being able to provide cutting-edge technology and opportunities for students to excel in additive manufacturing is truly fulfilling.”

– Dhinesh, Founder of Fabheads Automation

The FabMachines brand, a product of Fabheads, has garnered acclaim for its state-of-the-art 3D printing technology, entirely made in India. Particularly notable is its F Series line of machines, distinguished for printing continuous carbon fiber. The integration of FabMachines 3D Printers and the pioneering C6 Slicing software, India’s inaugural cloud-based slicing software, into IITM’s print farm underscores the reliability and adaptability of Fabheads’ solutions.

The partnership between IITM and FabMachines signifies the increasing recognition of indigenous technological solutions and the significance of nurturing local talent in advanced manufacturing. With this collaboration, IIT Madras continues its tradition of innovation while establishing a new benchmark for research institutions nationwide.

This collaboration not only bolsters India’s standing in the global additive manufacturing arena but also paves the way for further advancements and breakthroughs in the field. As FabMachines continues to push boundaries, this collaboration marks the beginning of an exciting journey toward transforming India into a hub of cutting-edge technology and manufacturing prowess.

3D printing farms represent a significant leap in manufacturing, facilitating the mass production of parts with precision, efficiency, and minimized waste. Unlike traditional manufacturing methods, which often entail costly setups and generate substantial waste, 3D printing farms streamline production processes by enabling simultaneous printing of multiple parts, thereby saving time and resources.

This approach not only accelerates innovation by shortening development cycles but also democratizes manufacturing, making it more accessible to smaller companies and individual innovators.

The establishment of such farms, especially within educational institutions like IIT Madras, serves as a catalyst for hands-on learning, research, and the advancement of sustainable manufacturing practices.
