Kaash Studio, based in Pune, India, specializes in additive manufacturing services, delivering high-quality prototypes and production parts across industries like consumer goods and automotive. Founded by three high school friends, Kaash Studio leverages cutting-edge 3D printing technology to meet diverse client demands.

The Challenge

Operating a fleet of small FDM printers, Kaash Studio faced limitations in precision, surface quality, and scalability. While FDM technology was sufficient for basic tasks, it struggled to meet client demands for advanced prototyping and small-batch production with tight tolerances and fast delivery. To stay competitive, they needed a solution that combined affordability, precision, and efficiency without the burden of extensive infrastructure investments.

Finding the Right Solution with Imaginarium

As Kaash Studio sought to scale its business, they turned to Imaginarium for expert guidance on selecting the most suitable 3D printing technology. Imaginarium, with its deep expertise in additive manufacturing and vast portfolio of machines, worked closely with Kaash Studio to understand their needs, challenges, and future growth plans.

Through consultative discussions and technical evaluations, Imaginarium recommended the Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W, Fuse Sift, and Form 4 as the ideal solution to help Kaash Studio move beyond FDM’s limitations. These machines provided the precision and efficiency to take on more complex projects and help them scale.

The Implementation and Results

With Imaginarium’s support, Kaash Studio successfully integrated SLS and SLA technologies into their operations. The transition brought significant improvements:

  • 60% Reduction in Prototyping Time: The adoption of SLS for high-precision prototypes, such as plastic casings, enabled faster functional testing and design iterations.
  • 30% Cost Savings in Small-Batch Production: By leveraging SLS, Kaash Studio replaced expensive injection molding, making short-run production more affordable.
  • Enhanced Production Capabilities: The Fuse 1+ 30W and Form 4 allowed Kaash Studio to produce directly usable lightweight and ergonomic components for industries like consumer goods and automotive.

Imaginarium not only provided machine recommendations but also ensured a seamless transition by offering technical training, material selection guidance, and ongoing support. This holistic approach helped Kaash Studio optimize its workflows and maximize the potential of their new 3D printing technologies.

“The Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W and Form 4 have been game-changers for us. Their combination of precision, ease of use, and scalability allows us to meet client demands quickly while maintaining a high level of quality. These are more than just machines—they are the backbone of our manufacturing operations. Imaginarium played a key role in helping us identify the right technology and supporting us through every step of the transition.”
— Kanishq Patel, Co-founder, Kaash Studio
