HP and INDO-MIM Join Forces to Scale Up Metal Parts Manufacturing in India

HP Inc., a leading PC and printer manufacturer, has announced a strategic partnership with Metal Injection Molding (MIM) company INDO-MIM to mass-produce metal 3D-printed parts in India. This collaboration aligns with the ‘Make in India’ initiative and aims to revolutionize metal parts production for sectors such as automotive, aerospace, defense, consumer electronics, and medical equipment.

UMaine Launches Large Size 3D Printer, making Guinness World Record

Surpassing its own 2019 Guinness World Record for the largest polymer 3D printer, UMaine unveiled a next-generation printer that is four times larger than its predecessor to catalyze the future of sustainable manufacturing in a number of industries. 

ADDMAN Partners with US Navy Manufacturing for 3D Printed Copper-Nickel Components

ADDMAN Group has launched a pivotal qualification project for the US Navy, targeting the additive manufacturing of Copper-Nickel (CuNi) components in submarine fittings. The initiative, focused on strengthening America’s national security through advanced manufacturing, addresses longstanding challenges in naval production.

Bambu Lab Introduces Maker’s Supply: A New Storefront for Non-3D Printed Components

Bambu Lab, known for its 3D printers, has recently expanded its product offerings by launching Maker’s Supply, an online storefront specializing in non-3D printed components frequently used in 3D printing projects. These components include fasteners, magnets, bearings, hardware, electronics, and tools, essential for completing or enhancing a wide variety of 3D printing projects.

MUSE: Modification in Stellarator Design with 3D Printed Housing

 Among the latest developments in the field of energy is MUSE, a new type of stellarator developed by researchers at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), featuring a 3D printed casing and permanent magnets.

Gorilla Receives First-Ever 3D Printed Titanium Cast to Heal Broken Arm

Additive manufacturing has long been known for its benefits in creating prosthetics and orthotics for humans, but the technology is also proving useful for one of humanity’s closest relatives: gorillas. Cincinnati Zoo recently announced that Gladys, an 11-year-old gorilla, received a world-first titanium 3D-printed cast to aid in the healing of a broken arm. 

Ricoh and SimBioSys Partner to Create AI-Powered 3D Models for Personalized Breast Cancer Treatment

Ricoh USA, recognized for its custom medical device design expertise through Ricoh 3D for Healthcare, has joined forces with SimBioSys, a technology company specializing in AI and computational modeling. Together, they are exploring innovative ways to improve breast cancer treatment through the integration of artificial intelligence and advanced 3D printing. 

AFRL Innovates with New Lightweight Additive Manufacturing for Rocket Engines

The Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) Rocket Propulsion Division has achieved a significant milestone by designing, printing, building, and testing a unique single-block rocket-engine thrust chamber using an innovative additive manufacturing technique known as laser powder directed energy deposition (DED).

3D Printing Creates New Possibilities onboard USS San Diego

Amphibious Transport Dock USS San Diego (LPD 22) Sailors piloted a liquid metal jetting additive manufacturing (AM) process, operationally testing the Xerox ElemX 3D printer for the fleet. San Diego is the first San Antonio-class LPD warship to test the machine’s onsite AM features.
