Stratasys Board of Directors Unanimously Rejects Unsolicited Proposal from Nano Dimension 

Stratasys Ltd. announced that its Board of Directors has unanimously rejected the unsolicited proposal it received from Nano Dimension Ltd. to acquire Stratasys for $18.00 per share in cash.

A team of young Emirati engineers at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) have achieved a new breakthrough in developing prosthetic limbs using 3D printing technology.

Relativity’s first 3D-printed rocket launches successfully but fails to reach orbit in key test flight 

The world’s first 3D-printed rocket made it off the launch pad Wednesday night but failed to reach orbit in a key test flight by a California-based aerospace startup Relativity Space.

Researchers Use 3D Printing and X-rays to Produce One of the World’s Strongest Steels

Scientist at  Advanced Photon Source (APS) in collaboration with U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison developed the technology that uses X-rays to produce world’s strongest steel using metal additive manufacturing methods.

3D Systems Selects 6K Additive as the Supplier for Tungsten Powder for its DMP Printers

6K Additive announced that they have entered into an agreement with 3D Systems to become their preferred supplier of tungsten powder for their DMP metal 3D printing solutions.

UTEP Joins Project to 3D Print Batteries from Lunar and Martian Soil

The University of Texas at El Paso has joined a project led by NASA to leverage 3D-printing processes with the aim of manufacturing rechargeable batteries using lunar and Martian regolith, which is the top layer of materials that covers the surface of the moon and Mars.

Researchers at the University of Michigan have developed a method to 3D print waste-free, ultra-lightweight concrete, which could bring down costs and make way for more ecofriendly structures in the construction industry.
