STPL 3D Unveils Ground-breaking Additions to Additive Manufacturing – the first-ever Made in India SLS 3D Printer

STPL 3D launched the first-ever Made in India SLS 3D Printer. The machine has a build volume of 500 x 500 x 500 mm, it is powered by a 100 W/Co2 laser, and weigh 2 tons.

ABB Robotics and Simpliforge Creations Advance 3D Printing Capabilities for India’s Construction Sector

ABB Robotics and Simpliforge Creations, an additive manufacturing solutions company, are collaborating to strengthen and advance 3D Printing technologies for the Indian construction sector. The collaboration will enable construction companies to build structures faster, more sustainably and safely.

GPAINNOVA and Lodestar3D Forge Strategic Partnership to Distribute DLyte Surface Finishing Solutions in India

GPAINNOVA, has officially entered into a strategic partnership with Lodestar3D. This agreement positions Lodestar3D as the Master Distributor for GPAINNOVA’s cutting-edge surface finishing solutions in India.

Synopsys to Acquire Ansys, Creating a Leader in Silicon to Systems Design Solutions

Synopsys and Ansys announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Synopsys will acquire Ansys. Bringing together Synopsys’ pioneering semiconductor electronic design automation (EDA) with Ansys’ broad simulation and analysis portfolio will create a leader in silicon to systems design solutions.

Nexa3D to Acquire Essentium

Nexa3D, a polymer 3D printing systems maker, has signed a letter of intent to acquire Essentium, a manufacturer of HSE 3D printers and materials. “With this acquisition, Nexa3D would add high-speed extrusion (HSE) to its current product portfolio,” according to the announcement.

1000 Kelvin and Fieldmade partner to accelerate deployment of 3D printing in battlefields

Additive manufacturing software firm 1000 Kelvin has partnered with Fieldmade, a company working in mobile manufacturing for rugged environments, to increase the deployment of 3D printing at the front lines.

Novel snake-like robot 3D prints its own body to grow longer

A group of researchers specializing in soft robotics at Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Italy, collaborating with a colleague from the University of Montpellier in France, has devised an innovative robotic system that utilizes 3D printing to construct its own body, enabling it to extend in length.

 

Researchers optimize 3D printing of optically active nanostructures

The team led by Harald Plank, Verena Reisecker and David Kuhness has achieved two breakthroughs. It is now possible to precisely simulate the required shapes and sizes of nanostructures in advance to achieve desired optical properties, which can then be accurately produced.

FDA establishes Additive Manufacturing Lab for medical devices

The Additive Manufacturing Program in the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) researches the effects of innovative manufacturing technologies to help ensure patient access to medical devices that are safe and effective.

Sidus Space Launches Multimaterial 3D Printing Division 

Sidus Space, a space and data-as-a-service company, has achieved another milestone by introducing its multimaterial 3D printing division.
