Gujarat-based STPL 3D Printing, a company pioneers in rapid prototyping & additive manufacturing services, has developed the India’s first 3D printed Empowered Women Wall for VETERANS INDIA SURAT.
Formed in 2015, the VETERANS INDIA is the organisation led by ex-servicemen to spread patriotism and nationalism among the citizen in country.
Inaugurated at Vanita Vishram Sport Complex in Surat, the wall mural’s has been created by using the company’s in-house FDM machines in just ten days.
The Empowered Women Wall is a tribute to all the courageous women, who serve in the Indian Armed Forces. The inauguration was held on the International Women’s Day, 8 March 2019. Shri Darshanaben Jardosh, Member of the Lok Sabha and Smt. Hetalben Patel, DYSP Surat, appeared as the chief guest at the event.
The wall features twenty-one 3D printed statues of the women officers in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Forces. Lieutenant Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Punita Arora from Army; Flight Lieutenant Harita Kaur Deol, Avani Chaturvedi and Deepika Misra from Air Force; and Lieutenant commander Pratibha Jamwal from Navy, The Tarini Group are some of the names of these women officers.
A team of digital sculptors at STPL 3D completed the digitization of 21 statues in just two-three days from pictures. Furthermore, these digital models divided into parts for 3D printing process, post processed and coloured by In-house team.
The company stated that “We are really proud to be part of this project.”
