TriMech has acquired InterPRO – a Connecticut based supplier of industrial 3D printing services.
TriMech, located in Richmond, said the acquisition of InterPRO Additive Production Group will expand its bespoke 3D printing capabilities, which include prototyping, tooling and manufacture aids, end-use components, and low-volume manufacturing.
InterPRO offers multi-jet fusion, fused deposition modelling, and large format stereolithography additive manufacturing for industrial, consumer electronics, aerospace, defence, and medical applications, as well as casting, fabrication, and finishing services.
“Advances in plastic and metal printing, speed and workflow, and higher-volume manufacturing are redefining client requirements and expectations,” said TriMech President and CEO Marcel Matte in a statement. “With this purchase, we gain additional professionals and a larger technological portfolio, allowing us to be the greatest possible partner to manufacturers of all sizes.”
The activities of InterPRO, now known as TriMech Advanced Manufacturing, will continue to be based in Deep River, Connecticut. TriMech’s president, Dan Straka, will become the company’s general manager of advanced manufacturing. Straka stated that the change will allow the firm to “assist more clients by offering increased capacity and additional capabilities.”
TriMech, a subsidiary of the Halifax Group, serves over 15,000 clients with computer-aided design and engineering software, additive and subtractive manufacturing solutions, and other services.
