In 2022, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) plans to deploy 3D printing technology in the digital building of unique dwellings.

Suprijanto stated that the ministry will also encourage the creation of innovative financing schemes, human resource development, the execution of particular duties, and assistance with catastrophe mitigation, rehabilitation, and reconstruction.
In 2020-2024, the Directorate General of Housing intends to construct 51,340 apartments, 10,000 special houses, 813,660 self-sufficient dwellings, and 262,345 units of Public Infrastructure, Facilities, and Utilities (PSU) for the infrastructure development program.
The Special Dwellings Program involves the construction of houses for refugees or victims of natural disasters, teachers, medical personnel, and other authorities in border and distant areas, and the relocation of inhabitants impacted by government initiatives.
PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono previously stated that he will make achievements in speeding infrastructure development to promote Industry 4.0.
The ministry continues to promote Industry 4.0, which is defined by the advancement of information and communication technologies in order to attain high efficiency and product quality. Hadimuljono stated that this includes construction services, namely using 3D Printing technology for house construction and giving added value for infrastructure development.
He underlined that the use of technology must provide value to the implementation of infrastructure development rather than just following a passing trend.
According to him, Industry 4.0 is only a tool for achieving infrastructural goals with the assistance of dependable and competent Human Resources.
