Intech Additive Solutions Pvt Ltd., Bangalore, India, has announced the launch of its second-generation iFusion150 (formerly known as iFusion SF1) metal Additive Manufacturing machine. The upgraded machine is reported to offer enhanced operational safety and reduced human intervention, along with additional features including butterfly valves with automatic control for filter changeover, dual lock safety and a more compact design.
The iFusion150 is a small format Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) metal AM machine with a build volume of 150 mm in diameter and 180 mm in height. The 500 W laser ā which can be upgraded to 700 or 1000 W ā enables users to manufacture at higher build rates and layer thicknesses, enabling nesting and stacking of more parts per build.
āAll industries are experiencing a tremendous advancement in technology. We are always creating and improving products in accordance with customer feedback to create software and technology that is ready for the future,ā stated Pradeep Nair, VP ā Sales.
āThe machine can be upgraded to 700 W and 1000 W in our most recent improvements, and a greater variety of metal alloys can be employed to manufacture products,ā he continued. āServing the demands of our clients while keeping up with emerging trends and technologies in the tool & die, dental & medical, aerospace, automotive, defence, and other industrial applications across numerous industries is something we look forward to doing. With the launch of the new second-generation iFusion150, we hope to expand in international markets like those in Asia Pacific and Europe, and we look forward to collaborating with relevant distributors in these regions.ā
The iFusion150 includes Intechās AMBuilder, an integrated pre-build design software for Powder Bed Fusion based Additive Manufacturing.
