PSG College of Technology (PSG CT) from Coimbatore and Bengaluru based Metal 3D Printer OEM, Intech Additive Solutions signed an MoU to jointly design and develop hybrid metal additive manufacturing machines.
This follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI), Government of India, and PSG CT for setting up an Industry Accelerator at PSG College of Technology for the development of 8 technologies, under MHI’s “Capital Goods scheme – Phase II”.
The projects that Intech and PSG CT will work on are:
- To design and develop indigenous hybrid machine for metal additive manufacturing and
- To develop new materials for industrial application needs using Laser Powder Bed Fusion technology and parameters optimization with help of Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) techniques
“Intech Additive Solutions, a pioneer in Metal Additive Manufacturing in India, has been finalised as our partner to design and develop indigenous hybrid metal additive manufacturing technology. We are convinced Intech’s expertise in New Product Development and Machine Manufacturing will help us in achieving our mutual goals”, quoted Dr. K Prakasan from PSG CT.
Mr. Sridhar Balaram, Founder of Intech Additive Solutions said, “Team Intech is honored to be associated with PSG College of Technology to develop hybrid machine for metal AM and new materials / alloy parameter development for industrial application needs. We thank the Government of India and the PSG CT team for giving us this opportunity to showcase our design , research & development capabilities “
