India’s leading 3D Printing and additive manufacturing group, Imaginarium, launched Fuse 1 from Formlabs for the first time in India on 18th July during IMTEX held at the International Exhibition Centre Bangalore, organized by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA).
Fuse 1 is the world’s first benchtop high-performance Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printer that enables engineers, designers and manufacturers at all levels to rethink product development, hybrid manufacturing, and end-use production. The Fuse 1 brings powerful Surface Armor technology, a 30% powder refresh rate and the new versatile Nylon 12 powder to deliver a simplified industrial 3D Printing workflow at a fraction of the cost of traditional industrial SLS Printers. It is designed for minimal upkeep and has a full-colour touchscreen interface that guides the user through every step of Printing and maintenance. From print setup to powder recovery, the easy-to-use hardware and software are designed to maximize the firm’s efficiency at every process step. Additionally, Formlabs has introduced Fuse Sift, a post-processing system for the Fuse 1, and Nylon 12 Powder, Formlabs’ first powder material for Fuse 1, to provide users with a straightforward end-to-end SLS workflow.
SLS technology is one of the most trusted technology for strong, functional prototypes and end-use parts. However, the high cost and complexity of the process made it difficult to be used by clients all over. With the introduction of Fuse 1 and Fuse Sift, high-performance SLS would finally be within reach for all as it is not only affordable but also easy to use.
