JPB Système, a provider of efficiency-enhancing technology solutions for aerospace and other industries, has secured funding from the French Government as part of the comprehensive ‘France 2030’ investment program. Launched by President Emmanuel Macron in 2021, the France 2030 initiative aims to allocate €54 billion to support innovation and accelerate the transformation of key industry sectors, positioning France as a global leader.
Responding to the call for proposals, JPB Système submitted separate funding requests to further invest in its KeyProd production monitoring solution and Metal Binder Jetting (MBJ) 3D printing technology activities. Following evaluation by an independent expert committee, the company’s KeyProd proposal was approved by the General Secretariat for Investment (SGPI) for its potential to enhance operational control and increase France’s competitiveness.
JPB Système also received support for its pilot manufacturing line utilising MBJ 3D printing technology for the creation and pre-industrialisation of aerospace parts for low-carbon aircraft. The SGPI recognised the innovation and environmental benefits of JPB’s approach, resulting in a grant that acknowledges the positive impact on aerospace parts manufacturing and the decarbonisation of aircraft through reduced material consumption and component weight.
Damien Marc, President of JPB Système, expressed excitement about the funding and highlighted that the funding will allow JPB Système to further develop its KeyProd solution, expanding its applications and introducing a new product line for improved machine performance tracking and production monitoring.
Additionally, the support from France 2030 will bolster JPB’s MBJ 3D printing operations, complemented by the recent acquisition of a stake in Addimetal, a 3D printer manufacturer start-up. JPB aims to validate the results achieved in trials and stabilise the MBJ process for production. The company believes this technology will reduce production times for certain parts, accelerate delivery, and provide manufacturing flexibility by producing a wide range of components simultaneously.
