Fugo 3D has launched the Fugo Model A, the world’s first centrifugal 3D printer, marking a groundbreaking development in additive manufacturing. This revolutionary technology delivers “layerless” printing with unmatched sub-30-micron accuracy and throughput up to ten times faster than traditional stereolithography (SLA) printers.
The Fugo Model A integrates multiple post-production processes into a single machine, drastically cutting costs and boosting efficiency for manufacturers. This all-in-one system allows users to print, wash, dry, and post-cure parts, streamlining the entire production process.
“Our patented centrifugal printing technology represents a complete rethinking of what 3D printing can achieve,” said Bryan Allred, Founder of Fugo 3D. “With the Fugo Model A, we aim to help manufacturers produce higher quality parts at a lower cost.”
Unveiled at the recent Rapid + TCT show in Los Angeles, the Fugo Model A received an overwhelming response from attendees. Besides its increased speed and throughput, the Model A is noted for its precision, achieving sub-50-micron accuracy in all dimensions.
“Since the advent of SLA and DLP technology, the biggest challenge has been the mechanical spreading of ultra-thin layers. With the Fugo Model A, we’ve eliminated this issue, as our technology doesn’t rely on mechanical means to create layers during printing,” explained Sasha Shkolns, CTO.
The Fugo Model A is a versatile printer compatible with a wide range of photopolymers. Fugo is targeting high-volume manufacturers that utilize 3D printing as a crucial part of their production lines to become early adopters. The company is now taking reservations for the Model A and plans to deliver the first commercial units in Q1 of 2025.
