Carbon has introduced AO Stack, an innovative software tool designed to enhance the capabilities of its M2 and M3 3D printing systems. This new addition to Carbon’s Automatic Operation (AO) suite significantly increases the efficiency of 3D printing processes by allowing up to three times as many parts to be printed in a single unattended cycle compared to traditional single-layer printing.
Key Features and Benefits
The AO Stack tool seamlessly integrates into daily operations and is supported by extensive resources from Carbon Academy. This feature is particularly beneficial for industries such as dental labs, where multiple builds of DPR10 models can now be printed in one go without requiring supervision. The tool is ideal for overnight printing, maximizing productivity without additional labor costs.
Enhanced Production Capabilities
“The introduction of AO Stack is a milestone in our ongoing quest to innovate and provide transformative solutions to our customers,” said Brice Harkey, Senior Product Manager of Oral Health at Carbon. “By allowing up to three builds worth of models on a single unattended print, AO Stack offers the opportunity for an increase in overnight production capabilities without additional hardware or oversight.”
Complementing the AO Suite
The launch of AO Stack follows the February 2024 introduction of Carbon’s Automatic Operation suite, which includes automated print preparation and surface smoothing tools, along with the AO Backpack tool that enables overnight production. These tools collectively reduce the amount of manual labor required, further streamlining the 3D printing process for dental labs and other applications.
Transformative Impact
With AO Stack, Carbon continues to push the boundaries of 3D printing technology, offering solutions that not only enhance production efficiency but also empower businesses to optimize their operations and output. This latest innovation underscores Carbon’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge tools that meet the evolving needs of its customers.
