Spanish 3D printing leader BCN3D has secured a major investment round to drive its expansion in the light industrial additive manufacturing sector. This funding coincides with the launch of a cutting-edge production facility, now fully operational, that reflects BCN3D’s commitment to high-quality manufacturing and technological innovation. Supported by established Spanish industrial investors, this move strengthens BCN3D’s position as a frontrunner in the 3D printing industry.
“Our new facility and this investment represent a commitment to our future in the light industrial market,” said BCN3D CEO Xavi M. Faneca. Located in a prominent European tech hub, the facility enhances BCN3D’s capacity for advanced production, enabling continuous quality improvements and scaling up the development of BCN3D’s products.
The announcement comes on the first anniversary of BCN3D’s Omega I60, a model widely adopted in sectors like tooling and functional prototyping. The Omega I60, equipped with features such as a heated chamber for technical materials and a 60-liter print volume, has gained traction with companies like Wisconsin Precision Casting and global footwear brand Camper, who use the printer for rapid prototyping and streamlined production.
BCN3D recently streamlined its product lineup to focus on two key series: the Epsilon Series, tailored for technical, one-off models, and the Omega I60, aimed at customers transitioning from prototypes to production runs. According to Pol Domenech, General Manager of BCN3D, this refined approach allows the company to meet market demands more effectively, optimizing resources to deliver the best results.
With its new facility and strategic direction, BCN3D is positioned to lead innovation in light industrial additive manufacturing and meet the growing needs of the global 3D printing market.
