Anycubic has unveiled new Kobra and Kobra Max 3D printers, alongside new Photon M3, M3 Max and M3 Plus models. The two new lines include printers with high-res LCD displays, generous build volumes and an automatic resin back-up in some cases. They start at ~US$300 through various channels from March 28, 2022.

Anycubic touts its latest 3D printers as improved in various ways, the amount of physical space in which to print included. They also feature their own super-clear monochrome LCD screens, topping out at the 13.6-inch 7K panel in the Photon M3 Max. This device, its M3 siblings and Kobra cousins also boast their OEM’s own LeviQ 25-point auto bed-leveling as a calibration system.
The company pitches the Photon M3 (which, as its name suggests, comes from a new UV-resin-compatible series with a large gold-ish shield apiece) as the most beginner-friendly of the bunch. It has a 18.0×16.4×10.2cm build volume and is rated as extra-precise in generating edges and corners.
It is also the cheapest at US$299 – then again, this is also where the Kobra starts. It is of the spring-steel-sheet platform type, and also features an integrated direct extruder, which, as Anycubic insists, will simplify and ensure extrusion and retraction.
The Kobra Max is its $539 variant with a 45x40x40cm build volume. The Photons M3 Plus and Max, on the other hand, feature the new Anycubic LighTurbo matrix light source and up to 30.0×29.8×16.4cm build-volumes. They also upgrade to the OEM’s latest Auto Resin Filler to alleviate mid-print level anxiety. They are now priced at $699 and $1,099 respectively
Finally, Anycubic has also announced the new Water-Wash Resin+, touted as more economical and eco-friendly than other such supplies. It supports cleaning without the need for isopropyl alcohol and is apparently relatively low on smell.
It is available from the OEM’s own store, as the new printers will be from March 28, 2022. However, the Kobra and Photon M3 lines will also be sold through AliExpress, eBay or Amazon.
