AM Chronicle announces the 3D Printing Startup Challenge in partnership with AM Ventures and ASTM International to promote the startup ecosystem in India, Asia, and the Middle East. The startup challenge will be hosted at AMTech – India’s Leading Additive Manufacturing Tradeshow scheduled for 2-3 December 2022.

Additive manufacturing (AM) or 3D Printing is one of the fastest growing technology domains, and startups play a critical role in its development. AM Start-ups are the centers of innovation, create employment and have directly impact on applications. To foster the development of startups in India, Asia, and the Middle East, AM Chronicle has launched the 3D Printing Startup Challenge in partnership with AM Ventures and ASTM International.

Aditya Chandavarkar, Managing Editor, AM Chronicle, stated, “Excited to be collaborating with AM Ventures and ASTM International on this initiative to provide a platform for startups from India, Middle East, and Asia to showcase and pitch their ideas to a group of focused investors and the industry stakeholders.”

The startup challenge is open for startups developing 3D printing technology or using it for cutting-edge applications. Startups can enter the challenge by filling out the entry form. To participate, the startups must be registered in India, the Middle East or Asia and not be in operation for more than five years.

Alex Liu, Head of Additive Manufacturing Programs, Asia Region – ASTM International, mentioned, “The AM space is evergreen where we continuously see innovations with cross-technology innovation as the latest trend. We are excited to support the AM Startup Challenge and explore opportunities to help startups grow in Asia.”

The challenge will occur at AM Tech Expo held at Hitex Exhibition Center, Hyderabad, 2-3 Dec 2022. The main aim of organizing the startup challenge at AM Tech Expo is to provide industrial exposure to the startups. The event will also allow the startups to pitch their ideas to a group of investors and stakeholders.

Sangmin (Simon) Lee, Regional Director Asia, AM Ventures, mentioned, “India is one of the world’s fastest growing and largest economies, and I cannot imagine the AM industry growing without this market. I’ve already seen a lot of AM-related innovations taking place in the region, and I can’t wait to learn more!”
