America Makes has introduced AMJobs, a new digital platform developed with CAST, Inc. to expand career opportunities in Additive Manufacturing (AM). Funded by the Ohio Department of Development, this free tool is designed to support talent development and industry growth by making AM careers more accessible and inclusive.
AMJobs is tailored to meet the diverse needs of learners by incorporating input from key stakeholders, educators, and K-12 students. Emily Young, EWD Project Engineer at America Makes, describes AMJobs as a “front door” that opens the industry to a broader audience, helping people explore the world of AM without the barriers often associated with high-tech fields.
The platform was created using CAST’s Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, which focuses on inclusive, self-directed learning. By leveraging UDL, AMJobs enables learners to set personal goals and take actionable steps toward a career in AM.
