ACCIONA Cultura, announced the unveiling of its latest project, the Net Zero exhibition, hosted at the prestigious King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Saudi Arabia.
The Net Zero exhibition, is set to captivate visitors with 27 artworks from both international and local artists, all united in their dedication to addressing pressing issues such as sustainability and climate change. This project presented ACCIONA Cultura with a unique challenge: to seamlessly weave the overarching theme of “carbon neutrality” into every aspect of the exhibition’s design. The result is a creative concept that resonates throughout the entire exhibition space.
One of the aspects of the Net Zero exhibition is the innovative use of 3D printing technology to create concrete elements on a scale. This construction technique marks the first instance where 3D printing has been employed to such a large extent to form the backdrop for an exhibition of this caliber. It is a testament to ACCIONA Cultura’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of creativity and sustainability.
Moreover, ACCIONA Cultura’s dedication to sustainability extends beyond the exhibition’s theme. The organization has adopted a zero-waste philosophy for the project, ensuring that all elements designed and delivered for the Net Zero exhibition will find a second life once the exhibition concludes. This commitment of ACCIONA Cultura’s determination to minimize its environmental impact and promote responsible resource management.
