3D Systems announced Charles (Chuck) Hull, its co-founder and chief technology officer for regenerative medicine, has received the National Medal of Technology and Innovation (NMTI).

Desktop Metal and Schaeffler to Collaborate on Additive Manufacturing of Multi-Material Powders, including Metals and Ceramics

Desktop Metal, announced that it is collaborating with Schaeffler AG, the German motion technology company, on additive manufacturing of multi-material powders, including metal and ceramics.

EOS Metal Material Portfolio Expands with EOS Aluminum Al5X1

EOS announced the addition of its new EOS Aluminum Al5X1, an aluminum alloy engineered specifically for additive manufacturing. The new alloy Require only a single-step heat treatment with no HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressing), organizations manufacture parts faster and at a lower total cost

NASA Tests Innovative 3D Printed Aluminum Rocket Nozzle for Deep Space Missions

NASA recently built and tested an additively-manufactured – or 3D printed – rocket engine nozzle made of aluminum, making it lighter than conventional nozzles and setting the course for deep space flights that can carry more payloads.

Progreso 3D-Printed a House That Can Withstand a 9.0 Magnitude Earthquake

Progreso, has through its corporate accelerator Progreso X inaugurated Guatemala’s first-ever 3D printed building. The milestone was achieved in collaboration with Danish 3DCP Group utilizing COBOD International’s BOD2 construction 3D printer, the best-selling 3D construction printer in the world, and already employed widely in the US, Canada and various Latin American countries, including Mexico.
