EOS and Volkmann Partner to Provide Fully-Automated Industrial 3D Printing Powder Handling Solution

VOLKMANN and EOS announced a scalable, closed-loop metal powder handling solution for users of the EOS M 290, EOS M 400 and EOS M 300 series additive manufacturing (AM) systems. Offered directly from EOS, the handling and processing of metal AM materials can now be managed through a holistic powder handling approach – for both pre- and post-processing – from initial powder preparation to a closed, fully-automatic powder circuit.

GKN invests £50m to grow sustainable AM capability

GKN Aerospace has boosted its commitment to sustainable manufacturing, with a £50 million investment in its cutting-edge additive fabrication technology in Trollhättan, Sweden.

UH launching space tech development center, student-training hub

The University of Hawaiʻi is in the initial stages of establishing a space engineering and instrument development center at the UH Institute for Astronomy’s facilities on the UH Hilo campus, thanks to general fund support from the Hawaiʻi State Legislature and Hawaiʻi Gov. Josh Green.

Associate professor in ECE creates advanced technology capable of manufacturing tools in space

Dr. Masoud Mahjouri-Samani, Godbold Associate Professor in electrical and computer engineering, is working on development of  additive micro and nanomanufacturing machines that are small enough to be carried inside a spaceship to the surface of the moon, or beyond.
