UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are looking to implement Industry 4.0 as a part of their initiative to localise manufacturing in the Middle East and reduce their reliance on an oil based economy and invest in more sustainable technologies. Additive Manufacturing could play a key role for both these countries to achieve this vision.
To understand more about the current and future scenario of the AM industry in the Middle East, Aditya Chandavarkar, Co-Founder, Indian 3D Printing Network caught up with with Fahmi Al-Shawwa, CEO and Founder, Immensa Additive Manufacturing on this episode of AM Infocast.
Fahmi is one the leading advocates of AM in the Middle East and leads a team of more than 30 specialized Additive Manufacturing engineers across 3 offices in the GCC as a part of Immensa Additive Manufacturing, the region’s leading Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) company. Immensa recently was approved for additive manufacturing by KSA’s Ministry of Investments. This license represents the first of its kind to be issued in Saudi Arabia and is in line with ‘Vision2030’ and the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) which is giving importance to industry 4.0
