RIZE and Sindoh announce strategic partnership

At 3DEXPERIENCE World , RIZE, Inc., a next-generation additive manufacturing company dedicated to providing safe industrial 3D printing to all users, announced that the company has entered into a strategic partnership with Sindoh Co., Ltd, a multi-function printer and 3D printer manufacturer based in South Korea. As the first step in this collaboration, Sindoh will incorporate RIZIUM portfolio of materials – known for their zero emissions, sustainability and durability – into the desktop 2X and the industrial 7X printers.

“We’re seeing the next generation of fused filament fabrication arrive on the market, with solutions using higher performance materials at lower total operating costs that are enabling applications like tooling jigs and fixtures, and even functional parts and prototypes”

The collaboration will open new markets for both RIZE and Sindoh, and accelerate the adoption of safe, sustainable 3D printing with RIZE’s innovations.

Sindoh is Korea’s first office automation company, founded in 1960 with a heritage of innovations including Korea’s first copier, fax and digital multi-function printer (MFP). With strong R&D and manufacturing capabilities, they have introduced additive manufacturing solutions including 3D printers. Sindoh offers its own 3DWOX line of 3D printer brands sold through a network of resellers around the world.

Under the agreement with RIZE, Sindoh now will offer customers the option of using RIZE’s patented RIZIUM™ filament-based, engineering-grade extruded polymers in Sindoh’s 7X large-format 3D printer member of its 3DWOX line, targeting industrial uses with its 380 x 390 x 450 mm build size. RIZIUM materials have industrial strength, high durability and enable a wide range of applications and innovations in the design process and end-use parts. Sindoh will also offer RIZE’s patented materials in its 2X compact sub-$4K 3D printer and target the educational market. RIZE and Sindoh are cooperating on R&D activities to enable the 2X and 7X printers to support the RIZIUM portfolio of materials.

RIZE is the first industrial 3D printer manufacturer to obtain UL 2904 GREENGUARD certification for indoor air safety and low emissions – important in office, school and other non-industrial use. “We’re committed to innovation in materials and technologies, and RIZE clearly shares this commitment,” said Thomas Kim, marketing director at Sindoh Co., Ltd. “Many of the world’s largest manufacturers already rely on Sindoh’s 3D printing solution, and our work with RIZE will enable us to reach more segments of the market.”

“We’re seeing the next generation of fused filament fabrication arrive on the market, with solutions using higher performance materials at lower total operating costs that are enabling applications like tooling jigs and fixtures, and even functional parts and prototypes,” said Tim Greene, research director, 3D printing, at IDC.

“These new materials are strong, durable, moisture resistant and safe from emitting volatile organic compound (VOCs), while allowing lower levels of material waste. Engineering and design companies that want to give their teams the best tools to achieve the best outcomes should look carefully at these next-generation options and when the time is right to bring them onboard,” IDC’s Greene said.

“Sindoh is a proven technology leader with a wide array of 3D Printing offerings, and together we can complement each other’s strengths to capture rising demand for next-generation additive manufacturing technologies,” said Andy Kalambi, CEO of RIZE.

“RIZE’s unique technology will upgrade Sindoh 3D printers and enable to penetrate into the industry segment in a much stronger position as well as education sector. This will definitely show the synergy effect of how two companies’ strengths working together,” said Byoungbag Lee, CEO of Sindoh.
