NPPower, a manufacturer of metal Additive Manufacturing technology located in Maribor, Slovenia, has announced the integration of its Malachite AM machine in Autodesk Fusion, the leading 3D modelling, design, and manufacturing software.
The integration allows users to design directly within Autodesk Fusion and send build-ready files straight to the Malachite Additive Manufacturing machine without the need for additional software or file conversions. Fusion’s built-in tools also optimise designs and customise parameters for the Malachite’s manufacturing process, thus reducing material waste, shortening build times, and enabling high build quality.
“We are thrilled to partner with Autodesk to bring this integration to market,” said Niko Leben, CEO of NPPower. “The synergy between Malachite’s capabilities and Autodesk Fusion’s intuitive design and manufacture environment creates a truly transformative solution for our customers.”
The Malachite features a build volume of 125 x 100 mm and uses a 200 W fibre laser. It has a starting price of €75,000 and is compatible with various non-reactive metals like cobalt chrome (CoCr), 316L stainless steel, and more.
