The vision of Industry 4.0 depends on the creation of fully digital supply chains and automated manufacturing. For the 3D Printing industry to take a front-and-center role in Industry 4.0, the industry needs to build cohesive relations within its ecosystem to realize an uninterrupted value chain. Materialise, as a leading global provider of 3D printing software and services, is committed to realize this vision of full-value chain solutions in Additive Manufacturing through its software platforms, strategic partnerships and Certified Additive Manufacturing expertise.

At formnext 2017, Materialise brings several applications from its extensive backbone of services to show how the company is enabling customers to take 3D Printing to the next level. The company will announce exciting new software automation tools and will be showcasing its latest technology developments in manufacturing and digital supply chains, both in plastics and metal. These showcases and the full Materialise Magics 3D Print Suite will be on display at formnext in Frankfurt on November 14-17 2017, in booth 3.0-C48.

The Value Chain of Metal Production

While the Additive Manufacturing industry is in a race to raise productivity in metal manufacturing, Materialise is set to showcase its commitment to tailor its solutions to the entire value chain of metal production. This was recently reinforced with Materialise’s acquisition of ACTech, German specialists in the production of highly complex cast metal parts.

At formnext, Materialise will also launch a new metal software that is unique in the 3D printing market: the next innovation in Metal 3D Printing.

Additive Manufacturing Powered by Materialise

A focus on the development of manufacturing know-how and software tools that support quality and consistency is crucial in meeting rising industry standards at each stage of the product development cycle.

From adopting new technologies like Multi Jet Fusion technology to ramping up serial production via expanded capacity, Materialise will showcase its state-of-the-art in Certified Additive Manufacturing. A case exemplifying 3D-printed production tools in partnership with Philips Lighting, which won the TCT Industrial Application Award 2017, will be displayed at formnext.

Materialise will also provide demo sessions of its new Magics and Inspector versions.

Digital Supply Chains: The Future Called Reality

Know-how in design automation, parametrization, process automation software and Certified Additive Manufacturing is the key to Materialise’s success in designing and implementing end-to-end digital supply chains in the past year.

At formnext, Materialise will showcase two examples of digital supply chains which already represent breakthrough innovations in their respective industries: individualized ski boot insoles with Tailored Fits and customized eyewear with Yuniku. Visitors will be able to benefit from live demonstrations of 3D scanning and parametrization software.

Highlights at formnext 2017:

  • Release of Magics 22, Inspector and Materialise Control Platform 2.1 with demo sessions
  • Release of new software representing a breakthrough for Metal 3D Printing
  • Presentations by Siemens, SAP, HP, EOS and more partners on their latest 3D printing innovations and collaboration with Materialise
