Stratasys Ltd has recently announced some key enhancements to be made to its Industrial and Healthcare Business Unit offerings, which include Stratasys Direct.
These improvements include an open platform for the F900™ 3D printer, new on-demand 3D printing capabilities, and a high-performance material for the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) portfolio.
Some of the new features include the OpenAM™ software for the F900 printer and new functionality and work materials.
Moreover, the new VICTREX AM™ 200 material ideal for aerospace and medical applications will be available for the Fortus 450mc and F900 printers. This polymer base of PEEK is highly mechanical and resistant to temperature, corrosion, and chemicals.
Stratasys has also introduced the Carbon Fiber Visual Print Option for F-123 Series™ printers and improved surface aesthetics for highly visible parts. The F770® printer now offers six new ASA colours, extending the range of applications and uses.
Additionally, Somos® NeXt™ resin is compatible with Stratasys NEO® stereolithography 3D printers for producing tough and fine parts.
The new Part on Demand by GrabCAD makes it possible to get access to the Stratasys Direct’s 3D printer equipment which is available for over 50 engineered materials and quality checks.
Rich Garrity, the Chief Industrial Business Officer has noted that these changes are based on customers’ input and put additive manufacturing on an equal stand with other technologies.
