3D printer manufacturer Stratasys joins forces with AM Solutions – 3D post-processing technology, a brand of the Rösler Group, to develop Stratasys PowderEase™ TI, a 3-in-1 post-processing solution designed for the Stratasys H350® SAF® powder bed printer.
As you may guess, AM Solutions brought its expertise in the development of post-processing solutions to this partnership. As such, the system will be manufactured at the company’s German facility.
The PowderEase™ TI is a 3-in-1 solution that can automate powder breakout, retrieval, and dosing to minimize manual labor. Its automated powder handling and accurate dosing ensure traceability and cleanliness, adhering to strict industry standards.
The post-processing solution can save up to 50 minutes per build compared to manual processes. Furthermore, it can help AM users reduce costs through its ability to handle up to six H350 3D printers. As a reminder, these 3D printers are based on Selective Absorption Fusion®, a technology that deploys industrial-grade print heads to apply a fusing fluid on a powder bed precisely. Using an infrared lamp to selectively fuse particles layer by layer, the fluid enhances the powder particles’ heat absorption to form solid objects.
“The key focus of the partnership between Stratasys and AM Solutions – 3D post-processing technology is the delivery of maximum value to the market and to establish additive manufacturing as a primary production technology,” David Soldan, Head of AM Solutions – 3D post-processing technology. “Automated post-processing, which ensures cost-effective, high-quality, and consistent results, is crucial to this objective. In collaboration with Stratasys, we are excited to contribute our extensive experience and expertise in surface finishing and industrial-scale mechanical engineering to elevate additive manufacturing to the next level.”
The PowderEase T1 post-processing system will be unveiled in the Stratasys Booth at Formnext, Hall 12.1, Booth D121, and in AM Solutions’ booth in Hall 11.1, Booth E41.
