Global experts on powder metallurgy and additive manufacturing processing of titanium and titanium (PMTi2022)  alloys will gather for academic exchange and technology transfer in Montréal, Canada. After five successful conferences held in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, China, and the United States, PMTi is headed to Canada for the first time.

At this time, the Call for Presentations is open.  The abstract deadline is Friday, April 1, 2022.

About Titanium 3D printing 

Metal 3D printing has been around for a few years, but as the technology and software that power 3D printers become more affordable, it is being used by a growing range of businesses. Titanium, a low density, high strength metal that is very resistant to corrosion and has a very high melting point, is one of the most sought-after industrial quality metals. As a result, the material is appropriate for a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, military applications, medical prosthesis, orthopaedic implants, dental implants, and even jewellery. And now that titanium can be 3D printed, it is more popular than ever. The Titanium Processing Center is a titanium distributor situated in Michigan that distributes the material in a variety of forms, including bars, rods, tubes, plate, and, of course, 3D printing powders.

The Titanium Processing Center created a helpful infographic called 3D Printing with Titanium to keep their clients informed and to assist educate the public about what metals may be 3D printed. The infographic does an excellent job of explaining what may be created, when it should be used, and why it is so in demand. However, there is a limit to how much information can be included in an infographic without overloading the reader or turning it into a comic book. Because there is still much to learn about 3D printing with titanium, this will allow us to get a better understanding of the material and its capabilities.
