Mr.P.K.Ahammed, Chairman of Peekay Group has inaugurated the 3D Printing Facility of Peekay Steels at Bengaluru Airport City in a function in the presence of OEM customers from India and abroad. This 3D Sand Printing facility is  first-of-its-kind in the world. This facility houses a production center as well as an experience zone to learn 3D printing & ideate for innovative solutions. In addition, the facility will be used to train technology experts, to do research to up-grade skills, increase awareness of various 3D printing applications.

This 3D sand printing machine, VX-4000 from Voxeljet,Germany installed at Airport City is most efficient and environmental-friendly with no carbon emission.

Peekay Steel specializes in the production of high-quality steel castings, predominantly for the Oil & Gas sector, starting from 1 kg to 20 tons per casting. For most of these products they require less than four castings. As a result, the time and cost towards development of patterns can outweigh total project costs. For some complicated castings, that require non-traditional gating, the VX4000 was most suitable.
