Standardization refers to the best practices, regulations, and benchmarks that guide industries and organizations. It is also imperative to boost the adoption of the technology. 3D printing, considered to be ‘Future of Manufacturing’, Additive Manufacturing has reached this watershed moment: Over the next five years, analysts expect the 3D printing market to grow on average at 24%, reaching $35 billion by 2024, according to 3D Hubs’ 2020 3D Printing Trends Report. Clearly, as the technology continues to shift towards production, the need for standardization is more acute than ever.

To spread awareness regarding Standardization in the 3D Printing industry, Objectify has partnered with National Centre for Additive Manufacturing – The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), ASTM International, and TAGMA India to launch a power-packed webinar on ‘Latest progress for Standards, Certifications and collaborative approaches in Additive Manufacturing’. The webinar will take place on June 5th at 1 pm IST.

Speakers for the session are David Wimpenny, Chief Technologist, National Centre for Additive Manufacturing; Khalid Rafi, Sr Lead – Additive Manufacturing Program Development at ASTM International and Bhrigu Ahuja, CTO, Objectify Technologies.

Speakers for the Webinar

The webinar aims to address questions on the current status and future developments in standards for Additive Manufacturing along with insights into how to create an effective ecosystem for transfer of knowledge and research understanding to the industry.

Commenting on the webinar Ankit Sahu, Co-founder & Director, Objectify Technology says, “Standardization plays a vital role in pushing the adoption of any new technologies. Since 3D Printing has come to a level where it is not impacting practically all the industry around the world, the talk for Standardization has taken newer heights. Also, to push Standardization, it needs a collaborative approach where all the stakeholders of the ecosystem plays their part. Partnering with organizations like MTC and ASTM, we wanted to discuss the same and understand from the experts about the current trends and developments. I am sure the webinar will be insightful and help clear doubts of many industry professionals.”

The webinar on June 5th is the last session in the series that was aimed at industry professionals. The first three webinars on Conformal Cooling, Topology Optimization, and AM in the Power Sector received a huge response.
