Sahajanand Technologies Private Limited (STPL), a global leader in the development of industrial technology solutions headquartered in Surat, Gujarat has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM)at Hyderabad, Telangana. The move is intended to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing between the two organisations. Both the organization will be working together for a long-term vision to develop self-sustainable ecosystem of Additive Manufacturing (AM) in the country by enabling the adoption in the industry, prototyping new products, and focusing on new product development, providing access to state of art infrastructure, enabling research and development, and promoting skill development activities for generating quality manpower. The MoU was signed by Mr Rahul Gaywala, CEO of STPL 3D, and Mr Jaspreet Sidhu, CEO of NCAM.
STPL 3D excels in Additive Manufacturing (AM or 3D printing), guiding India towards widespread adoption of additive manufacturing technologies. Additionally, the company has been at the forefront of scientific-technological advances in industrial laser, diamond processing automation, and medical technologies. STPL’s clientele spans five continents and more than 30 countries, bringing global recognition to India.
NCAM has been established by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, and ITE&C Department, Government of Telangana, in collaboration with industry. It is conceived with a vision to create and enable a sustainable ecosystem for product innovation in India, with a focus on research, design, development, and testing, through the collaborative efforts of academia, industry, and government utilising the disruptive technology of Additive Manufacturing.
Both prominent institutions have joined hands to develop an additive manufacturing ecosystem in the country that is self-sustaining over the long term. They will facilitate the adoption of additive manufacturing in the industry by prototyping new products and focussing on the development of new products, providing access to state-of-the-art infrastructure, enabling research and development, and promoting skill development activities to produce high-quality labour.
Both institutes will collaborate to promote ‘Made in India’ technologies and products in Indian industries as well as in Indian academic institutions and to support the growth of local industries in the AM space. The MoU also calls for the creation of a national platform to showcase Indian AM technologies and products.
