India’s leading robotic construction 3D printing company, SimpliForge Creations, has successfully installed 3D printed sun bench. The project has been completed in partnership with Charvitha Medows and Apsuja Infratech.

The Sun Bench

According to the company, the sun bench is a “testament that engineering is art.” The company also stated that the benches are made with 0.8T of their Simplicrete® material, which has 40 MPa strength. Additionally, the benches are designed to stand against simulated and actual loads expected in usage. An interesting fact is that the bench stands sturdy with absolutely no reinforcement, which makes the design unique.

The Sun benches are printed using the robotic concrete 3D printing technology. The design has an outward radiating truss section, sufficient strength, and comfortable sitting for three people. Post-printing, the benches were transported and installed in the beach area.

The Sun bench was printed on Simply Forge Creation’s state-of-the-art robotic construction printer. The printer is designed to print large area construction jobs for various requirements in civil engineering.
