Government of Canada grants $93,625 to PRIMA Québec

The government of Canada places a high value on innovation. As a result, the Honourable Pascale St-Onge, Minister of Sport and Minister responsible for CED, announced today a nonrepayable contribution of $93,625 over three years for the Pôle de research et d’innovation en matériaux avancés du Québec (PRIMA Québec). With this CED funding, the group will be able to develop the Carrefour québécois de la fabrication additive, a virtual networking platform geared toward the demands of Quebec producers.

This new site will raise awareness of additive manufacturing in Quebec, as well as the development initiatives and services offered. It will also highlight the experience of various participants in the Quebec ecosystem and equip firms in the industry with the tools they need to establish commercial prospects within the sector’s industrial offering, which will be tailored to the health condition.

 

PRIMA Québec is a sectoral organization for industrial research that leads and promotes the advanced materials ecosystem, which is a driver of innovation and growth in Quebec. The NPO intends to provide the additive manufacturing ecosystem—a vibrant market—with the institutional mechanisms to support its development as the preferred contact between the industry and academic sectors.

The Canadian government acknowledges and promotes companies and organizations that are a source of pride in their communities.

Quebec’s economic revival is dependent on a manufacturing sector with deep roots in the regional economy. This industry’s participants are significant contributors to growth as well as vital assets in constructing a stronger, greener, more resilient, and fair economy for all
