The UAE-based additive manufacturing company supports ADNOC Group to expand digitalization across its range of assets.

Falcon Technologies International LLC (FTI), the global leader in optical media manufacturing, has emerged as the market leader in the additive manufacturing industry in the Middle East region. FTI has been recently chosen by ADNOC Group as one of its qualified services providers for 3-Dimensional Laser Scanning, Modelling, and Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing).

Following the qualification, the one of group’s companies awarded FTI with a pilot project to undertake the digitalization of its assets. The project is currently under execution and with the success of this project, the ADNOC Group entity is planning to expand the scope of digitalization across its range of assets.

FTI’s digital solutions have brought in a new awareness in the market and the company aims to reduce carbon emissions and optimize supply chains in the newly evolving logistics paradigm. FTI has now started its ambitious plans to bring end-to-end3D solutions including reverse engineering industrial-scale solutions in the region with its success in Polymer Additive manufacturing. FTI has recently collaborated with one of the largest Metal Additive
Manufacturing Service Bureau, from Europe for the same purpose.

“FTI is aware of its role as one of the pioneers in digitalization and industrial scale 3D printing in the region.” Says Manoj Pillai , AVP Commercial AM. “This is evident from our regular customer educational outreach programs carried out at various customer locations in UAE. A recent and the first of its kind was held this month in Borouge [The strategic joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (“ADNOC”) and Borealis AG (“Borealis”), one of the world’s leading providers of innovative and differentiated polyolefin solutions] in its Innovation Center in Abu Dhabi. The response we received from the engineers in Borouge was very encouraging and we expect it to work as a bootcamp for future innovations with digitalization and 3D printing.” he further added.

FTI, a Ras Al Khaimah-based organization under IDO, started the Additive Manufacturing initiative in the year 2020 and since then has gained a leadership position in the industrial-scale polymer additive manufacturing.
