Boost is radically rethinking the design of breast prostheses and has come up with something that could give pleasure to wearers. The 3D printed models they have created are colourful, lightweight and breathable, and designed via a collaborative process with those who have gone through the trauma of breast cancer and mastectomy.

The designers are Rosie Brave and Sam Jackson who are students at University of Plymouth. Brave and Jackman have already received £15,000 through the Design Council’s Spark program. Brave said, “The idea came from Sam’s mother having a mastectomy, and hating the prosthesis she had.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
