Anand Mahindra tweets and asks to join IIT M incubated construction 3D printing company Tvasta
The start-up created a Made in India technology that uses 3D printing to make home construction more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective. According to Anand Mahindra, such technology is critical for India.
A start-up from the IIT Madras incubator devised a methodology for building 3D printed dwellings that can put a roof over the heads of millions of people. Noticing the importance of this technology for a country like India, industrialist Anand Mahindra has volunteered to sponsor the start-up.
The Tweet from Anand Mahindra
“Been following developments in 3D printed homes overseas. Critical for India so delighted to see home-grown tech from IIT Madras (now one of the world’s leading Tech-Incubators) I know you guys raised some seed funding, but any room for me to join in?”
About Tvasta
Tvasta is a business founded by three IIT-Madras alumni, Adithya, Vidyashankar, and Parivarthan. Our founders first established the IIT Madras 3D Printing Club in the Centre For Innovation (CFI) to create innovative products using 3D Printing and to raise awareness about this technology. They graduated in 2016, and Tvasta was developed from the founders’ enthusiasm for design and 3D printing. Their final year project led them to identify Tvasta as a firm capable of delivering world-class industrial 3D printing solutions. Since 2016, our small team has grown rapidly into a diverse group of engineers and researchers working on machine design, software development, electrical engineering, and material science. We think that with each passing day in the fascinating building area, our tiny team can create BIG improvements.
