Al Seer Marine invests in large scale robotic 3D printing from CEAD Group

AL Seer Marine invests in one of the worlds largest composite robotic 3D printing system from CEAD Group.

During a recent visit of an Al Seer Marine Supplies & Equipment P.J.S.C. representative at  facilities in Delft (NL) this week, final engineering details have been confirmed to bring a mega robotic 3D printing system into operation this year.

“It’s impressive how the CEAD team is engineering and how they are solving each minor and bigger problem. The interaction and consultancy to Al Seer Marine is far beyond the expectation” said  from Al Seer Marine and added: “We are so excited to start the first print in Abu Dhabi at the end of the year, where we are preparing the manufacturing facilities parallel to accommodate the machinery.

“With this project, Al Seer Marine gives us the opportunity to show the world what our system is capable of” said , Project Manger at CEAD.

The system which CEAD is going to provide is a large scale pellet extrusion based composite 3D printer with a 2 robot setup and once finished will be the first in the world to be able to print a length of atleast 36m and 5 m in the X and Y direction.

“Al Seer Marine is very pleasant to work with. They are giving us the opportunity to develop and to deliver the best possible system….” said , CEO of CEAD and continued: “…the with, the size and the complexity of this system is unique and challenging. Our team of engineers is pushing the boundaries of what was possible to date in large scale robotic 3D printing.”

Al Seer Marine Supplies & Equipment P.J.S.C. is based in Abu Dhabi and aims to provide their Large-Scale-3D-Printing services to national- and international clients from several industries.

The system shall be operational in December 2022.
