ADDiTEC Launches Hybrid Series metal 3D printers

ADDiTEC has launched the Hybrid Series, an innovative manufacturing platform combining 5-axis hybrid manufacturing with two powerful metal additive manufacturing (AM) technologies: Liquid Metal Jetting (LMJ) and High-Power Laser Directed Energy Deposition (LDED).

The Hybrid Series integrates the features of both Hybrid2 and Hybrid3 systems. Hybrid2 merges Liquid Metal Jetting (LMJ), acquired from Xerox, with CNC machining, while Hybrid3 incorporates High-Power Laser-Assisted Directed Energy Deposition (LDED). This combination offers exceptional precision, speed, and material versatility, establishing new benchmarks in advanced manufacturing.

A notable feature of the Hybrid Series is its integrated 2-axis positioner, capable of handling parts up to 100kg, which enhances the system’s precision in 5-axis manufacturing.

Precision Redefined

LMJ technology excels in creating intricate and finely detailed components, using cost-effective Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) welding wire to ensure full material utilization and exceptional detail.

High-Power LDED technology, known for its high deposition rate, speeds up manufacturing, making it ideal for larger components and reduced lead times. Like LMJ, LDED also uses COTS welding wire for cost efficiency and full material utilization.

The Hybrid Series offers rapid print head deployment for both LMJ and LDED technologies, simplifying the transition between different manufacturing processes and enhancing overall efficiency. It also features a high-temperature print bed with ADDiTEC’s patented quick-release technology for LMJ parts, ensuring automatic part removal and minimizing downtime.

Multi-Material Quality

The Hybrid Series’ multi-material capability integrates both LMJ and LDED heads within a single system, enabling the creation of complex components with varying materials and properties.

The system’s subtractive process, driven by CNC machining, ensures that parts manufactured using additive processes achieve the desired surface finish and tight tolerances. The Hybrid Series guarantees that the final products meet and exceed stringent quality standards.

This advanced manufacturing technology is available at an attractive price, with financing options starting as low as $2,999 a month. The Hybrid Series represents a significant advancement in manufacturing technology, poised to become the preferred solution for industries seeking customized, cost-efficient, and high-quality components.
