We are happy to feature this video on Additive Manufacturing Materials as a part of a special series on AM Chronicle by Reda Zaki. In this episode Reda introduces the audience to more than 90 materials used in the Additive Manufacturing process or 3D Printing. The video tries to cover as many categories as possible in the 10 min duration.

Reda is currently occupying a postdoc position at ICMCB laboratory in Bordeaux (France) to develop new approaches to 3D-printing (or additive manufacturing) of phosphate-based glasses for optic and photonic applications. The video originally featured as a part of his initiative Additive Manufacturin which is an initiate to share exciting news, trends and insights from the world of additive manufacturing shared exclusively here on Linkedin.

Also do check out the first video in this series where Reda Zaki provides an Introduction to Design for Additive Manufacturing and also introduces the viewer to concepts such as topology optimization generative design and latticing or lattice structures.

Reda Zaki received his PhD in Ceramic Materials and Surface Treatments from the University of Limoges (France). During his PhD work, he investigated the structure and optical properties of novel tellurium oxide-based glasses for their exceptional nonlinear optical performance. He is currently occupying a postdoc position at ICMCB laboratory in Bordeaux (France) to develop new approaches to 3D-printing (or additive manufacturing) of phosphate-based glasses for optic and photonic applications. Passionate about digital manufacturing and visual communication, he recently created the “additive manufacturin” video series project on the Linkedin platform to share exciting news, trends and insights from the world of additive manufacturing.
